Jak na výrobu jednoduchých a levných nátepníků (sorry guys, just in czech)

Co budete potřebovat:

• mosgumu/pěnovku/craftfoam. Nejlépe 0,2 a 0,4 mm. Tlustší na základ, tenčí na detaily
• tavnou pistoli
• průchodky - seženete v galanterii
• desku/prkénko
• kladivo
• sešívačku
• obyčejné lepidlo
• akrylové barvy
• lak
• (koženku)
• nůžky
• kožený provázek, šňůrka
• objekt konického tvaru :D

Hádám, že většinu věcí už máte beztak doma. So, let´s begin ..

1)Návrh: Pokud nechcete stříhat jen tak random, raději si obmotejte předloktí potravinovou folií a tu poté papírovou lepící páskou. Načrtněte si, jak by měl nátepník ve výsledku vypadat a celý papírový skvost rozstřihněte (pokud možno bez vlastní kůže) asi nějak takto ..

  2)Vystřihněte návrh a překreslete na tlustší pěnovku. Pokud nemáte poněkud hybridní tvar rukou, měl by výsledný základ vypadat asi nějak takto ..

 3) Všechny úpravy tvaru je nutné dělat v tomto neohnutém stavu. V případě Aely jsem se snažila docílit efektu kožených nátepníků s kovovými prvky. Proto jsem si vystřihla kus koženky stejného tvaru, přidala trochu lepidla a upevnila pomocí sešívačky. POŘÁDNĚ na ni přitlačte a zkontrolujte, aby sponky prošly skrze celou pěnovku. Samotné lepidlo není až tak nutné, sponky koženku pěkně napnou a drží perfektně.

 4) Teď už stačí jen nažhavit tavnou pistoli a připevnit na nátepník ozdobné prvky, nejlépe samozřejmě tak, aby zakryly všechny sponky. Na lepidle nešetřete, při ohýbání se mohou části lehce oddělit.

 5) Pro dobré uchycení je vhodné na každou stranu připevnit cca 5-6 průchodek. Stačí místo propíchnout nůžkami, protlačit spodní část průchodky, z vrchní strany přiložit vrchní díl, stlačit tím (kovovým nevím jak se jmenuje udělátkem, které najdete v balení) a zatlouct díly do sebe kladivem.

6) Připravte si zdroj horkého vzduchu (horkovzdušnou pistoli, fén, sporák, whatever ..) a spodní část silně nahřejte. Následně použijte cokoliv, co tvarem připomíná vaši ruku, a kolem toho nátepník obtočte, sešněrujte provázkem nebo šňůrkou, a nechte vychladnout.

7) A závěrečná fáze. Jelikož pěnovka už z podstaty svého materiálu lehce saje, můžete povrch zafixovat pár vrstvami lepidla. Zkoušela jsem barvu nanášet i bez lepidla. Rozdíl tam je, ale nic extrémního. Po plném zaschnutí namalujte akrylovými barvami a hurá. Dílo jest dokonáno.

Díky pěnové hmotě jsou nátepníky příjemné a flexibilní tzn. netočí se stupidně do jiných pozic než tam, kde by měly být.

Animefest 2014 - Cosplay debut competition - Aela the Huntress

As you probably already know .. I had a horrible idea few days ago and decided to participate the Animefest cosplay competition. There were two versions - cosplay debut for cosplay beginners also the rules weren´t so hard and the cosplay competition whose winner goes to Eurocosplay competition!

I finished .. well, not really finished .. my side chainmails are missing, also the top roundy things attached to my sleeves and I bought those shoes the day before competition.

Well .. at least I tried. There was one minute limit fot each contestant to show some presentation of their cosplay (dance, sing, whatever ..). I chose battling of course!

I was so nervous behind the scene. It was my first time showing my cosplay at competition. I wondered what it feels like .. and now I know! It´s terrible and stressfull :D

But when the actual one minute show of mine begun .. all the stress was gone. I felt super powerfull that I attacked my friend surprisingly agressively. Ooops ..

But I feel like people liked it even though it wasn´t perfect. And that´s all I wanted to know! That I´m capable of presenting myself on a stage without a shame.

Aela´s try out

Such a bad selfie .. I´m so sorry for that. But the main reason why I did this was I needed to try the whole costume on. And I´m really happy .. everything fits and I can move easily in those huge pauldrons. 

Soo happy!

Need to add some skirt plate cause this looks a "bit" sluty :D Also work on my shoes and add a sword.

Can´t wait to do my makeup!

Finishing Aela´s costume

Just a few days left till the competition!

I´ve spent a lot of time just figuring out how to attach those pauldrons to her dress. Because in normal life this just couldn´t work at all :D

I decided to make my bracers out of more comfortable material than worbla is. Worbla is so rough that my forearm always hurts and bracer doesn´t stay in its place. This one is made of 0,5 mm craft foam, covered with fake leather (the same I used for my dress). But I´m satisfied with the result.

I also ordered something special .. 

.. my personal dagger, or small sword, don´t really know what it´s called like. It´s used, has a few glitches and originally purposed for LARPing.

Aela WIP

Last days I´ve been working on my Aela´s cosplay. I can´t believe how good it´s looking :)

I have to finish my bracers, sword and complete the dress because the front part of "skirt" seems to be a bit short :D

Lara Croft - Tomb Raider Reborn cosplay information

Lara Croft is my huuuge passion since I was a child. I played several games from TR edition but the concept of TR Reborn just blew my mind away. She was like a completely different person .. not so determined, fearless or strong. Just a little girl whose destiny is supposed to be waaaay harder.

And I fell in love with her. So I started to plan out the photoshoot. Location, weapons, outfit .. and .. how should I make it bit special? Cause there´s so many Lara´s cosplay photos around the Internet. So I took my friend who happens to look exactly like Sam without any make-up or special hair cut - it´s jus crazy, right? :D

I would like to thank her once again,also to my photographer, my loyal friend and all those guys who lend us weapons. 

I had bad shoes and no wig there. These pics were done in spring 2013 in location called Stránská Skála.

I also wore this outfit at Advík 2013 festival where I also judged the cosplay competition. I changed my shoes and wig for this upgraded outfit :)

What´s new ..

.. I am trying to finish my Aela costume as soon as possible. Because it´s been on progress for so long.

Here you can see some WIP pics of Aela´s armor. Everything made out of worbla with craft foam sheets inside. Those round gems are made of modeling clay :)

I tried different ways to make my armor look "used" and I finally found a great and easy way so I will probably do some easy tutorial.

I also wanted to summary my Lara cosplay and make an article about it but saddly I didn´t have enough time in work today, so maybe tommorow!

And also new wig I ordered arrived to my country so I hope in few days it will be mine .. just mine!

I finished the belt yesterday. Months ago I did a pattern for the belt from worbla, but I decided to re-make it. I always try to make it as comfortable as possible and with worbla belt I probably wouldn´t be able to bend and move without moving it into it´s right place afterwards. This is fully made of craft foam, no gesso but glue with acrylics and acrylics lacker on top.

It´s made from two parts and holds in place thnaks to velcro :)

I can´t wait to shoot this costume! Tommorow I have a meeting with my photograper in awesome place .. stay tuned!

Trip costume progress

I hate sewing .. seriously. It´s so hard for me to make a good looking sewing pattern, cut it and sew together.

It´s like a walk through hell..

But. I made a deal with sewing machine and we´re able to cooperate sometimes. So I did Trip´s top successfully!

It fits perfectly. I was really surprised! ^^

And after that I started the painting part. I made it a little bit easier, because those rays were so close to each other that it was nearly impossible to paint them nicely.

But I´m pretty satisfied with the result .. now I´m working on the belt. I did a frame from worbla but I´ve changed my mind and re-done it with craft foam.

Update

I spent whole day by cleaning all the stuff here but after all I couldn´t find my USB. This is just ridiculous.

I wanna post so many pictures >< Gotta find it as soon as possible 

I´m also preparing a cosplay for next fantasy and sci-fi convention.

Ok, this probably won´t say much to you :D

Costume is not really hard to make, but I need a few special things which I have to buy on eBay or elsewhere.

Without them it would be incomplete and also hard to recognize.

One of these things already arrived but I had chosen a bad version, so have to rebuy it one more time.
