First pic of new cosplay ..

.. and here it is! It turned out pretty well. So yep, I´m quite satisfied. What do you think? :3

I also wanted to summary my Lara cosplay and make an article about it but saddly I didn´t have enough time in work today, so maybe tommorow!

And also new wig I ordered arrived to my country so I hope in few days it will be mine .. just mine!

I finished the belt yesterday. Months ago I did a pattern for the belt from worbla, but I decided to re-make it. I always try to make it as comfortable as possible and with worbla belt I probably wouldn´t be able to bend and move without moving it into it´s right place afterwards. This is fully made of craft foam, no gesso but glue with acrylics and acrylics lacker on top.

It´s made from two parts and holds in place thnaks to velcro :)

I can´t wait to shoot this costume! Tommorow I have a meeting with my photograper in awesome place .. stay tuned!

Trip costume progress

I hate sewing .. seriously. It´s so hard for me to make a good looking sewing pattern, cut it and sew together.

It´s like a walk through hell..

But. I made a deal with sewing machine and we´re able to cooperate sometimes. So I did Trip´s top successfully!

It fits perfectly. I was really surprised! ^^

And after that I started the painting part. I made it a little bit easier, because those rays were so close to each other that it was nearly impossible to paint them nicely.

But I´m pretty satisfied with the result .. now I´m working on the belt. I did a frame from worbla but I´ve changed my mind and re-done it with craft foam.

Tripitaka (Enslaved) - Dragonfly WIP

Today I´m going to show you how I made Trip´s dragonfly.

Right from the beginning I wanted it to be really functional. So I had to buy the smallest flashlight in my life :)

So I bought this small red flashlight which turns on while you turn the upper part a bit. So it´s really cool .. you don´t need to make a special place for a button. And it´s also really lightweight .. :)

You can see the red flashlight in the pic above, standing on wires .. poor dragonfly :D

And there are some progress pics .. I made a pattern for wings and add a wire into them to make them moveable. Make the body of dragonfly from worbla and repeated the wire-thing with dragonfly´s tail.

The tail is made from three different parts and you can move it to different angles.

At the end I added a few layers of gesso paint, sprayed the whole body with bronze acrylic spray paint, painted whole body with acrylics. And there´s a "small" clip on side of the body so I can attach it into hairband and hair. Unfornately it is not enough so I have to use another pin to make it stay on place ><"

But in the end I really like the result. What do you think? :)

Back at home!

I spent last week in Italy and safely arrived home this evening. It was a great vacation ..! Lots of sun, snow and fun with friends and family.

Also spent the St. Patrick´s day in Irish pub drinking Guiness <3

But more importantly I need to complete my Trip costume. Just the belt and dragonfly .. uf
